ASNN is collaborating with the Department of Education to implement the policy of installing special units for children with special needs in government schools in every area of Ampara District.
September 2008: In show of the organization’s support for the cause, ASNN provided the Special Clinic at Ashroff Memorial Hospital medical supplies to enable the clinic to provide the appropriate medical and rehabilitation interventions.
With technical support from the Department of Education, Department of Health, Department of Social Services and partner NGOs, ASNN has formulated a training manual and was used in an actual training that commenced in last January 2008.
ASNN Social Support Network, provides a forum for special needs Children, special needs adults, organizations, friends, parents, teachers and supporters working on advocacy for special Needs. We achieve this aim through our social network.
ASNN has been engaged in serving the persons with disability in the selected schools in Ampara district for the last seven years.
